[...] I also wanted to mention that if you haven’t heard my second Drown Pirate Radio podcast, you are totally missing out. It’s possibly hotter than the first one. I’m working on the next two episodes simaltanously and I’ve managed to get an interview with alt porn director Eon McKai for my March music podcast. Eon will talk about the evolution of porn soundtracks. How cool is that? Very. [...]

Glenn, baby, I don't understand a word you are saying...
Maybe it's the drinks.. I'm at some huge blogger party in the Bellagio hotel (Las Vegas)... free drinks... And not just beer and wine.
I basically spend a week or two collecting and listening to songs for the podcast theme. When I feel I have too many, I just start from the beggining. I pick a song, then the perfect song after it, then after that one, etc...
Occasionally I say "I could tweak this shit" and I open Reason and edit the hell out of a track (especially on the first track after Smashing Pumpkins on the first podcast).
I use audacity to edit audio. It's like the iMovie of sound editing. There are tricks that a lo-fi elitist can use to make it better. But it is NOT ideal.
So it's like legos, you start with one piece, then build on top of it. At some point I'll say "this is a great place to stop", so I do. Then I add the intro robot voice, the theme song (which is not perfect yet) and I talk.
You thinking about doing a podcast Glenn?

Another well made episode. I really like the transitions. Do you pre-produce it on a DAW or do it live using serato/CDJs?

<!--%kramer-pre%-->Rad Hair Day comic on DocPop.blogspot.com. Then I went to the Stanford campus and caught a ride with John and Paul (from Monzy's live band) down to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronic Show. I'm pretty happy with the second podcast, it's a bit longer than the first (and feels like it at times), but some people say they like it better than my first musical podcast. If you haven't heard the podcasts yet, it's basically a "what if some mixtape making hip hop dj got tired of 50 Cent<!--%kramer-post%-->
