The Atomic Bros VS Drown Radio
In 2005 Drown Radio produced a split e.p. with a band from Minneapolis called The Atomic Brothers. Instead of doing a typical split album (with the first half all being one band and the second half being the other), we opted to alternate and blend each bands tracks for a more cohesive feel. Each band wrote and recorded their own material before the final album was mastered by BZ at Studio 132.
Unt Destructo and El Suavo Amerikano, the Atomic Brothers, use gameboys, trumpets, and trombones to create catchy futuristic pop music.
Drown Radio’s contributions are created with Casios, folk guitars, Speak n’ Spells, and lots of solder. Some instrumentals and some nerdcore tracks abound.
The album is intended to be listened to all together, so I’m putting up a .rar file here and a Stuffit Expander file here, or you can download the tracks individually.
